The Covid-19 vaccine scandal has been so huge and horrific that it puts all vaccines into question. Many very articulate people have been working on this issue for years. For example, lawyer Aaron Siri who has deposed two of the world’s most eminent vaccine scientists, Stanley Plotkin and Kathryn Edwards, both of whom, under oath, gave incredibly disturbing testimony.
Robert F Kennedy Jr is another, who has been silenced for decades but his voice is now being heard because of his presidential candidacy. He takes criticism on the chin and debates with intelligence. Not a character assassination in sight, which has become the modus operandi of so many “scientists”, for example the very high profile and very questionable Peter Hotez, who coincidentally refuses to debate Kennedy.
Kennedy sums it up well in this debate on News Nation in the USA. “Anti vaccine is a way of silencing me, using a pejorative to describe me, to silence or marginalise me. Vaccines should be safety tested.” Evidence he quotes to defend his claims include US Health and Human Services who admit that vaccines do not undergo randomised placebo-controlled trials; and the UK National Health Service who recommend against routine chickenpox vaccination due to potential for harm.
This shows how complicated vaccine science is, and just how unintelligent the term “anti vaxxa” is. I worked with vaccines for two decades, including involvement in decisions around whether a vaccine should be recommended or not, both for individual cases but also around proposed vaccine schedule changes. It would not have occurred to us to label someone explaining reasons NOT to take a vaccine as “an anti vaxxa”. As Kennedy says, it’s just a pejorative term used to silence people. I believe it is a propagandised term used to halt all discussion around the nuance of whether or not there is a benefit-harm ratio to highly profitable medical products.
The unprecedented harms of the covid products have been horrific to population health in a very acute way. There are so many examples. A recent freedom of information release in Australia for example, shows that directly after Moderna was approved by the TGA for adolescents, teenage admissions to hospital for cardiac related issues quadrupled with 4,000 extra teen admissions in Victoria alone.
In fact, population health has been declining since the 1980s and we are right to expect the cause to be investigated.
