African Green Monkeys were used in the production of Salk Polio vaccine in the 1950s. Every monkey injected with Salk contracted Polio and when human trials administered the vaccine to 1.8 million American children, 40,000 cases of Polio resulted in varying degrees of paralysis in 200 children and 10 deaths. Jonas Salk was associated with a pharmaceutical company called Cutter Laboratories, and so the event became known as the Cutter Incident.
The Salk vaccine was eventually replaced with Oral Polio Vaccine, developed by Albert Sabin. Injectable Polio Vaccine (IPV) has been used in nations where Polio has been eradicated since the early 2000s whilst Oral Polio is still used in most developing nations. Claims of Polio eradication are mired in statistical dishonesty as cases are redefined as acute flaccid paralysis.
A virologist and epidemiologist, Bernice Eddy, discovered that the Salk vaccine was contaminated with Simian Virus 40 (SV40) which the African Green Monkeys were infected with. SV40 was then linked to a massive rise in cancers. Read more here. In 2002 The Lancet published evidence that SV40 continues to be associated with human cancers.
Fast forward 70 years from Dr Eddy’s findings, in 2022 scientists found a sequence in the Pfizer Covid vaccine for the SV40 promoter, which causes increased expression of the SV40 gene. You can hear a group of Japanese scientists talking about their finding in this clip, and the conclusion that “this is outrageously malicious“.
