Empowering Change: Recap of an Inspiring Conference in New Zealand

This is a great review of the NZDSOS Christchurch conference on Saturday 21 September, 2024 and below a couple of extra snippets from the weekend and what is happening now. The event is being repeated in Auckland on Saturday 28 September 2024.

NZDSOS includes hundreds of members who are dentists, doctors and scientists speaking out against the corruption of medicine, medical science and public health in New Zealand. This came to light for many in 2020 and is harming population health. The three public faces of this growing group, many of whom contribute anonymously in order to remain in the workforce, are general practitioners Alison Goodwin, Matt Shelton and Cindy de Villiers. They each have many years of experience, and have all faced disciplinary measures by the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) for daring to speak out in loyalty to medical ethics since 2020. They are in court together today and tomorrow against the MCNZ guidance statement of April 2021, which all regulatory authorities issued in lockstep to doctors and health professionals across the western world. All NZ doctors (and registered health practitioners) were instructed to only speak on the benefits of the covid vaccines, and mention of risks was prohibited. Read more about the pharmaceutical-funded MCNZ here and here.

The Master of Ceremonies at the NZDSOS conference, ex-Qantas pilot Graham Hood, told a story to a small group in Christchurch yesterday morning, about why he spoke out. He initially supported lockdowns and the covid vaccine. After approving the vaccine for his elderly stepmother, as her power of attorney, when he made a call to book his own vaccination his wife asked him what research he had done. He replied “everyone is getting it”. She suggested he do a little research.

As a Qantas pilot, he had two GPs. He went to his Qantas-nominated GP and asked for advice.

We were in a room alone with the door closed and my GP looked left, looked right, then leaned forward and said to me ‘it’s your choice but if I were you I would wait it out on this one, and if you tell anyone I said this, I’ll deny it’.

I asked him why he would deny it and he replied ‘Because I could lose my registration’. I thought that’s a bit weird!

So I went to my private GP and asked him the same thing. We were in a room alone with the door closed and my GP looked left, looked right, then leaned forward and said to me ‘it’s your choice but if I were you I would wait it out on this one, and if you tell anyone I said this, I’ll deny it’.

So I realised, I’m smelling a rat in a cheese factory here! And there were hundreds of young Qantas pilots being mandated to take this thing and going to lose their entire career if they refused. They were going to risk their health and their lives. So I decided, it was up to me because noone else was going to speak up.

This is the video that Graham made after making this decision, in which he rips off his stripes in protest at what was happening. He has never flown since. “I would rather stand on your toes today than stand by your grave tomorrow.
