Statement in Response to Declaration of State of Emergency in California

When I warned a friend in Cambodia that more lockdown policies are about to be enforced, likely soon, they replied: “Thank you for warning. If so, millions of people will die. It is very bad and not human. Many of us here are facing financial constraints. They don’t have much money or food left to survive weeks or months.” Unfortunately, given the health harms happening to citizens everywhere, and being denied and ignored by those in positions of authority and influence, harm is apparently the goal. This is not a new fight, as the Siracusa Principles, written in 1984, show.

World Council for Health provide public health advice steeped in ethics, evidence and first do no harm principles.

Statement in Response to Declaration of State of Emergency in California

All residents are to obey the direction of emergency officials with regard to this emergency in order to protect their safety.

Governor Gavin Newsom’s declaration of a State of Emergency in response to the H5N1 bird flu outbreak is a troubling overreach that unnecessarily disrupts the lives of California residents. The Californian administration is once again imposing restrictive measures that limit personal freedoms and undermine individual autonomy. This heavy-handed approach risks repeating the mistakes of past lockdowns, which have caused widespread economic damage, mental health struggles, and social isolation without proving effective in controlling health crises. Rather than empowering citizens to make informed decisions, this declaration reinforces a system of control that disregards the long-term consequences of government overreach.

World Council for Health is strongly opposed to the use of lockdowns as a tool to prevent the spread of bird flu. Lockdowns, shelter-in-place orders, and mobility restrictions have been shown to do more harm than good.

According to basic epidemiological theory, lockdowns do not lend to a reduction in cases over the long run nor have they ever successfully led to the eradication of a disease. It is especially counterproductive to use lockdowns outside of the initial stage of a pandemic.

Restricting mobility has been one of the primary tools used by governments throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, but these actions have harmful consequences, many of which will not be fully realised for years to come.

Lockdowns are a failed strategy and an unprecedented number of people have lost their lives as a result. We cannot continue to radically alter people’s lives in hopes of slowing the spread of a pathogen that many of those most affected by lockdowns are not even at risk from in the first place.

World Council for Health emphasises that lockdowns should not be imposed on society as a whole or limited to certain portions of society. Not only is the latter strategy not based on evidence, but it is also discriminatory and will lead to segregation and two-tiered societies, splitting apart families and communities.

The answer to the systemic failures in public health is not to do more of the same. There is a better way: one that puts health before profits, where scientific consensus is reached by debate and not coercion or censorship, and where the inalienable rights of the individual are always fully respected.

The best way forward is to offer early treatment, acknowledge natural immunity, increase education on how to strengthen our natural immune systems, and unite as the international community that we are.

There is a Better Way: How to Stay Healthy

Rumours of a bird flu pandemic, hot on the heels of Covid-19, remind us of the disastrous results of implementing novel GMO gene products on a mass scale and without adequate testing.

What would have been helpful then and now, is a focus on the things we can do to promote good health, as well as simple, effective, and safe remedies for symptomatic people and animals alike.

Vaccines cannot prevent infection by a respiratory pathogen, as antibodies do not circulate in the nasal mucosa. However, there are many other ways to prevent and treat disease, especially when one identifies the root cause.

Here are a few simple approaches to keep you and your family healthy:

  • Use a disinfecting nasal spray, such as nitrous oxide, hydrogen peroxide, or iodine.
  • Avoid sugar.
  • Take several grams of vitamin C daily.
  • Boost vitamin D levels to 50-80 ng/ml.
  • Take zinc with a zinc ionophore like quercetin.
  • Use ivermectin and artemisia to reduce flu-like symptoms.

Instead of being caught unaware, let us learn from the Covid-19 experience. Stock up on these remedies, improve your overall health through diet, exercise, and mindfulness, and don’t get caught up in the fear-mongering from public health organisations and the media.
