Asking questions is at the heart of science. Science is not an institution and not an authority. Science is never settled. It is forever evolving through conjecture and criticism. Questions form the basis of all scientific inquiry and scientific progress. Without challenging existing concepts – usually held by a majority – there is no new knowledge creation. Censoring dissenting voices eliminates the mechanism of error correction and pushes humanity back into the dark ages.

Medical research consultant Dr Tess Lawrie spoke about her evidence based public health practice recently. It is a very reasonable, non-controversial twenty minute interview with one of the most credible scientists you could hope to hear. Nevertheless it appears to be a cause of outrage to some, which is so difficult to fathom.

People with no health literacy are literally scared to death. A good friend in Cambodia with no education beyond about 13yo, is currently in “Covid Hospital” (quarantine) due to a positive rapid test. He is so-called “fully vaccinated” but still had to submit to testing after sharing his lunch with someone else who tested positive in the biggest mass testing program ever perpetrated on healthy human populations. He believes he is going to die and nothing I say changes that. He is alone in a room and his home has been closed off by authorities. He is young and fit with a perfectly healthy immune system. My only concern is for his mental health in such a dark and miserable time. Other friends are surrounded by locked down areas where people are swallowed by mass hunger. The disease and deaths are going to be monumental unless someone, somehow, puts an end to this immediately. It is difficult to remain sure that this is not a deliberate depopulation event and I don’t understand where the “humanitarians” are?

Professor John Ioannidis (world renowned Infectious Diseases Epidemiologist at Stanford University) had it right in my opinion, when he stated “the medicalisation of society is becoming a major threat to humanity“. In the same conversation Professor Vinay Prasad (Professor of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, University of California San Francisco) said “you can fool yourself into thinking you are benefiting people when you are hurting them“.
